Airbnb check-out instructions: free template and checklist
Check-out is the last thing guests remember. Long chore lists feel unfair and can hurt reviews; no list at all means extra cleaning time for you. The sweet spot is a short, clear checklist that tells guests what not to worry about, too.

Hi [Guest name]! Just a friendly reminder that check-out is tomorrow at [11 AM]. The quick check-out steps are in your guide here: [guide link]. Thanks so much for staying with us — safe travels!
Keep it reasonable
- 5–8 tasks max. Guests are paying a cleaning fee; they shouldn't feel like staff.
- Only ask for what saves real time. Dishes and trash are the big ones.
- Say what they can skip. “No need to vacuum or wash towels” lowers stress and earns goodwill.
- Send it the evening before and make sure it's in your digital guide so they can check it on their phone while packing.
